Last Thursday (March 2nd) I was invited to join a fellow detectorist to hunt a permission on a turn-of-the-century home site. While the ground was noisy with all kinds of targets, I managed to dig some period items, some of which appear to date from as early as the 1920s. My three favorite pieces are the sterling belt buckle, the Model-T tire valve stem, and the lamp finial; the finial is in the "art deco" style. We were out there for about 4 and half hours on a day when the wind would just not quit.

Cool finds McD! Get all those neat relics picked out and get after those silver coins! Something tells me you have plans to return when the winds die down...thx for sharing! Ddf

Great looking finds. The belt buckle is a sweet find.

NICE FINDS DIGGER.

Hey Tommy! Thx. We did hit the small front yard at the end and I got nothing. Seems like out back is where the targets are.

Thanks ATW! Funny we didn't find any wheats or even memorials. Happy with what I got, though.

Thx vpnavy! Not getting out as much as I was but looks like I may hunt tomorrow afternoon while the weather is decent.

Thx Art! Aside from the silver buckle, my favorite find of this hunt is the Model-T valve cover.

Thx DDF! I think you're on to something there. It's a complicated site with a lot of competing signals. We're probably walking right over the silver.

Thx Trezurehunter! It's just 3 miles from my home. My buddy's given me the "green light" to go anytime.

Thx Jamie! Thinking of detecting tomorrow afternoon out at County Home Park in Cockeysville.
