I just discovered this 1925 penny with a sort of wrinkle on the left side between Lincoln’s head and the edge.Would this be of interest to collectors or is it just a flaw? Thanks!
It think it was at the bottom of my purse today. I may have received it as change recently. We’re getting ready to move so I’ve been sorting through things to pack.
I agree with flinthunter. Most likely what is known as a 'lamination error', which occurs when the metal that the planchet is made of isn't mixed well. At some point a crack occurs and a thin layer flakes off. It doesn't make the coin valuable , but it's a keeper.
