Went on a small road trip the other day to a few surrounding towns. the first few hundred was skunks, but I ended up with

1 64
1 67
1 38 walker
1 1925 stone mountain comm. half

in the 08 redbook, the 1925 is priced at $70 in AU, which, by my eye, is just about right on with my coin. very sharp details with very slight wear on raised areas only.

not bad for 50 cents huh?

will get pictures when my computer stops acting up.

Nice find on the Stone mtn... I grew up in Stone mtn., and have many fond memories of spending time on and around the mountain and fishing the lakes. On a side note, it's too bad they will not allow metal detectors or other relic hunters in the park, as the area is quite rich in history.. HH and good luck, Gpurs...
Oh, of all the halfs I've ever found, I have yet to run up on one of those Stone Mtn. comm.. If anybody decides that they want to sell one, I would probably be interested.

Like I said, GPURS, go to ebay and search "stone mountain half dollar" -tons of them are listed.
