Hi all:
On Sat. I hunted my new site for a few hours and tried some of the outlaying areas hoping for some undisturbed soil. No luck, no coins even.
So, today I decided to head in a different direction and went back to a house (built 1929) to finish up the yard I started hunting last fall. I knew the homeowners were going to be gone so I could hunt undisturbed.
My detector started acting haywire after a while giving false signals, almost like being near an electric fence.
I had forgotten to bring my spare batteries so I worked through the false signals for a while before calling it a day. Sure was a weather perfect day! And I couldn't compete with the mess the moles are making of their front yard.
I found some clad, a 1955 Wheatie, and a neat looking piece of jewelery. Anyone have an idea how old it might be?
Thanks for looking and HH,
Michiganne
p.s. Also found a plug thing with threads on the outside.
Still has a rubber seal so it's likely not too old.
