found out why its "CN" (sniper tested) marked but not drilled and tapped for a scope * --it was soviet military practice to assign 4 marksman per company from 1935 onward to 1963 ==these men or women used sniper quality guns but with iron sights or less powerful scopes on their guns -- due to a shortage of high quality scopes --the better quality "high power" scopes were restricted solely for the best snipers guns.--- only if the company grade snipers could not handle the job were the "best of the best snipers called in"
