i found a 1939 calif worlds fair plate a few years ago,at a old train stop.it was about 10 to 12 inches down.
so is there a way to see what car in came off?? 5A 367.just thought i would ask.
thanks brad
Unlikely you could find the car it came off of unless it was someone famous. Google the digits, it will pop right up if it is anything. (Like Bonnie and Clydes plates!)
For them to be valuable they need to be non rusty in straight condition and a PAIR with a number that is not currently in use on someone else car. You used to get plates like we get stickers today. So there are plates of different years with the same number. If someone has the number registered as a 1950 plate Your number is taken and your plates have much less value. You cannot register year of manufacture plates unless you have a matching pair. good condition single plates are 20 - 40 dollars
