1954-D Franklin Half ~ 1952-D Washington 25c ~ 1951-S Dime ~ 1935 Buffalo 5c

Today is day FIVE of my vacation! I've been out detecting everyday of my vacation ~ it's so much better than working! LOL

Here's what I dug today:

1954-D Franklin 50c
1952-D Washington 25c
1951-S Roosevelt 10c
1935 Buffalo nickel
4 Wheat cents ~ 42-D, 44, 53-S, 56-D
9 clad quarters
5 clad dimes
6 nickels
54 Memorial cents (not pictured)
two Arcade tokens

I dug the '54-D Franklin half in an area that we pounded hard a few weeks ago ~ we found 6 or 7 silver coins in there before. As soon as I saw the franklin half I took a picture of it with the camera on my cell phone. Then when I snatched up the half I could see the edge of another coin in the hole too ~ it was a '52-D Washington quarter! WOOHOO!!!!

I'd say that's one darn good day!!!

My first (and only) Franklin came at night, when there was almost NO light left. (I was walking back to the van). Hit the target and thought for sure that it was a buried can I was down pretty deep when I pulled it out. Almost poked a hole in ol' Ben's eye

I found these in that same area where I left that 1912 Barber Quarter for Ron to find. I decided to go through it again to see what we left behind. I started digging everything that made my detector sound off ~ I dug a lot of junk out of there! In the same dig as the half & quarter there was an old razor handle that I found first ~ then the half signal came in great after getting out the junk first!

Those are some killer finds. I've never found a Franklin half, barbers and walkers, but no Franks. Invited a friend up to one of my permissions once, he turned right and I went left, in no time he dug a Franklin . There's a special feeling when you see those big silver halves staring back at you.

This is the best vacation ever! LOL

This actually wasn't a planned vacation ~ last minute I realized that I had a ton of vacation time to use before I lost it! So my assistant is watching my office for me.

I just realized that I've dug six silver halves now ~ 2 Barbers, 2 Walkers, and 2 Franklins!
