Howdy y'all,
I know this isn’t something the majority of you would consider a “Best Find” so, let me explain a little. I lost my last metal detector in a burglary just over a year ago. It’s taken this long for me to save up enough for my new machine (Minelab Equinox 600). I took it out for the first time last week and after about an hour of digging I had a handful of clad coins and a whole lotta trash. My final target of the day sounded really good and down about four inches out pops a 1964 (D) George Washington Quarter. If you’ve been detecting for any length of time you know 1964 was the last year for almost all US Silver Coins. No biggie, except it’s also my birth year and it’s the first silver with my new detector… That makes it a best find for me.
PS — I now wear it around my neck as a good luck charm.
