Nice find you are right
I know it is said that there wasn't any silver in 1965 but i cannot see any copper layer in the half...it doesn't have the dull color as the dime and quarter.It is brighter,looks more of silver then beeing clad coin. Could they have made the mistake of that also.I wonder how the quality control at the mint let this slip through? Seems too major of an error to pass under the nose of mint inspection employees. Nice find BTW. Get an estimate on the value and send it off to NGC to get certified as a set in which all the coins are in the same BIG slab.
