I was going through my pocket change and discovered this 1966 Dime. Compared to another 1966 Dime, this Dime seems to have no ridges. I'm not sure if this is an error which is why I'm posting this. The other 1966 Dime I compared this Dime to had deep ridges.

By the way, Happy New Years Everyone. Wishing you all a Happy & Safe Year.

It looks to be just worn down, you can see what is left of the reeding.

Yep, just a really well circulated dime with lots of post mint damage.

Compare the two with a micrometer, that will tell the tale.

Thanks Everyone for your honest opinion.

you know what, I bet this dime got caught in the washing machine! I have had that happen several times. Change gets caught between the agitator and when I finally get it out, that's what it looks like.

Yep, either a washing machine or dryer.

This wear pattern on the rim is also typical from old coin slot machines.

Time for more coffee.
