Found this is a roll today and what caught my eye was the edge. It was bright bronze, almost gold in color with no layer of silver. The shine on this is incredible and so much more detailed - Don't think the pictures do it justice. It is an S mint, so I am guessing this is a proof? I thought proofs were silver but with the edge not being silver, I guess not. It is really neat to look and a great find!

Clad proof only, but 2 varieties, filled S and clear S.

They are harder to find then say, a Barber dime. I've found six Barbers in rolls, yet only 2 clad proofs. Congrats MU!

wow!!! nice find! congrats! i got a 2003-S silver proof, and a 1971-S clad proof, in all the thousands of dollars of dimes ive searched! so they r most definitely not a common find! keep it up and hh!

Haha sweet. :icon_thumleft: I got a 1980 s dime just two days ago, what is stranger is that after all my halves still haven't found a proof. Cool find

Back to that luck of the draw. I've done a considerable amount of halves and never found an "S" proof until my last haul when I pulled 36 different S's from two boxes (and the other 8 were all skunks).
