1980 Double Die Penny

After months nose deep in coin gazing, I finally found a coin with an error. Anyone know how much they're worth?

One thing to keep in mind, there are different types of doubling. There is die deterioration doubling, caused by a well used die that is wearing out, there is mechanical doubling caused by a slight shift in the die while the coin is being struck, and there is doubled die doubling caused by a doubled image on the die from when the die is made. The only one that has any value is the doubled die, but the other forms are very common. Where do you see the doubling on your coin?

First, I personally do not see any doubling. As with the previous poster, where do you see doubling? Second, what does your research indicate into its value? There are many coins out there that may give the appearance of being a double-die.

I think I could find an error on every coin I looked at takes time to know exactly what is and isn't. Good luck

Smart to ask and learn you could go to a coin dealer and ask them if your still curious they also have some pretty cool books on error coins

Per "strike it Rich with pocket change" by Potter & Allen, the only doubling on the 1980 is the date being doubled by separation lines & "liberty".
This is a first. I'd take it to a coin show with the book and get some opinions.
