This field is getting tough to pull goods out of, and the stalks were never knocked down like the past two years, I may go back and give it a whirl again soon.

Nice pics. Let's get out there and knock those stalks down! No excuses, lol. Nice looking old button. I'd take it!

Thanks dave, you'll see when we go there, my freakin arm is actually sore from 2.5 hrs swinging, I had to hold the coil up a little bit, probly why it hurts

No no pattern, this is a wierd button, almost looks machined, very clean for being in the ground so long

How deep were you able to dig? Snow looks gone in your pics. Some of my fields still have a bit of snow...especially the KG field I took you to.

Some spots just 3 inches, others as deep as I wanted, man it was muddy, sloppy

Looks like you had to pick your way through the stalks. Like the button and pottery.

Damn nice flattie! It seems like you are hinting at hitting that spot before? Well if you got that big flat button crank up the sensitivity and get at 'er again!

Glad to see you got out bud

Oh man, I've hit this place for 2 yrs, this was the beginning of my 3rd year there, I've pulled almost 100 buttons and something like 12 ir 13 large cents from there along with a 2 center and a few indians, my "newest" coin from there was an 1860 fatty indianhead

Yep. It's started!

Hey, that flat button could be a big brother to the one I found today.

WTG!

Thank ya sir, heres a better shot of it, its an oddball, almost looks machined, and it was pretty darn shiney right out of the ground, I know its not silver but its odd that it wasn't all corroded.

Cool finds, probably silver plated. Good work

Not a bad 1st hunt at all. Congrats on the tombac button.
As far as those corn stalks go. I bet if you ask Quindy real nice he will let you borrow a hand plow and a few mules. Old Dude would be glad to help I'm sure of it. :laughing7:
