1st day of PA Buck season & I go relic hunting

I've lost the drive to shoot things lately. I rather dig civil war relics instead. A friend and I went digging today at one of my spots. We did good til we got soaked & got the shits of the weather. Thanks for looking. HH

I haven't been hunting in several years. And, our season lasts from October until mid January! I really like the Minies.

I can relate. I still deer hunt but mainly to spend time with family and friends that I only get with a few times a year. This year the weather was warm and all I could think of was digging. To many hobby's, to little time.

Thanks friend. I've got lots of deer in the past. I think about it as there aren't anymore relics being made. There are deer mating every year. That's my mindset.

Man... Wish I was finding some of those instead of the wet woods, but I'll be in the woods again tomorrow, with my new Remington, not my new AT Pro... I'm happy either way really... Congrats on some dandy relics!!!

Nice finds. We just found our first star base bullet last weekend. Out of almost 300 bullets this is the only one with a star. I myself have never been a hunter. I don't judge or preach to those that do, but it has just never been my thing.

Is it me or does your Bullet on the Right have the Swage & a Star in its base. ?
If so IMO it's pretty uncommon as I know of only 3 of that type dug at a Battle site West of Me.
