1st Fav Field & 2nd Fav Field...

On my own today.

Our 1st fav field was deep ploughed some time ago but they have only just raked it down. Its still very bumping & far from perfect conditions but I spent 3 hours on it. Got a few interesting bits including a 1794 token, fake Geo III, 1899 Silver 3 pence etc..

Then changed to the second fav field which is better conditions. Spent 2 hours & got a Medieval book clasp, 3 OK roman coins, & bits....

Tomorrow Cru'Dad & I will explore new land, not expecting much but it needs to be done.....

WOW ~ such cool old relics & treasures! I'd love to be able to detect a place with so much history! Here on the west coast of the USA it's sure rare to dig a pre 1900 coin or relic!

CONGRAT'S!!!

Crusader, I'm always amazed at your finds, mainly because they are so different than what we find over here in the "colony". M  nty

Please let me come visit and stay at your house. Please. I'll put the toilet seat down. I'll take my muddy boots off before I enter the house, and more, much more important, pay our bar tab at the local Pub of your choice. Please. I'll even pretend to understand Dr. Who, if need be. Pretty please. Never really wanted us to win that silly old Revolutionary War event thingy. I'll even watch a soccer game. Please.

Some lovely finds Crusader - what is the coin/token of the gentleman in the jacket?

Ahh, but you said nothing about the Pub, and my never ending bar tab. I've bartended for over 20 years, and know how to order in English!
Great finds, as always!

I can make out a date on it (1794) but not enough of the letters to ID it. I think they call them Condor?? tokens in the US.

How about this halfpenny token of James Lackington of Lackington, Allen & Co., London booksellers?
