This was totally crazy, the day was beautiful and yet pretty chilly. I/we haven't been detecting since the 1st week of June before the operation and then the great move. I told the wife that even if it was only for a little while, I was going today. So made sure her Deus was charged up and my 600. We went out to our old permission that has produced so much awesome stuff for us and it did not disappoint today. This is the crazy part, we weren't expecting anything like silver, just some hole digging.
My very 1st hole dug in 5 months plus is a 52 Rosie! The next two holes were Wheaties and my wife is already threatening me with bodily harm. I finally dig a couple pull tabs, several memorials and other things like bullets and rivets etc. Finally I am pretty shot and am making my way back to the truck (where I have parked like 50 times before) and I dig another 24 signal that turns in a slightly better one as the hole is dug. Out pops a 1928 Merc! Both silvers are maybe within 30 yards of the truck.
The wife? Well she was dishing out the smack with her trash talking on the way there but I did all of the smacking. The 600 did awesome, Park 2, multi freq and in tracking. The Nox can really spoil a newbie with it's abilities at its price. Sure felt good to be swinging and digging again, the silver and wheaties were icing on the cake! DL silver #45 and #46 for the year too
