Alot of mercs on the site today. I wish i had one of them. Even your "play" money has a date on it. Nice job.

Congrats on the Merc, but my fav is that tow truck. What a neat find.

P.S. Is that a silver ring?

Man you hit paydirt! Looks like a great place to find more..hope you get a chance to go back and find some more goodies.

Uncle Sam Play Money

What can I say about it but ARRRRGH!!! It's cool and has a date and all, and every one that I find I have kept. But I lost count of how many times that my breath hitched and my heart skipped a beat because I thought that I had found a Half Dime or 3c Piece!!! Then I calm down, maybe cuss at it a little, put it in my pouch, and take it home as a keeper.

Very nice finds...WTG!!!

Hello MM, yes that's a Silver ring that has hearts going around it and the word "High School" on it..i found it on a set of keys that also had a St Joseph Pendant on it.

Hello SgtSki, Yes i first thouht "Oh Boy a 3c Piece !!!" then it looked like a 10 cent token...after getting it home and really looking at it i saw "Play Money" on it...still a nice find and over 50 years old...i saw the penny version on line for a couple of dollars..

Congrats on that first Merc, and those are some nice finds. Sometimes that play money looks gold in the ground, and is small enough to pass as a $1 piece. My heart has skipped a beat several times only to be fooled by play money.

Nice digs for sure. I found two pieces of uncle sams play money in my yard. One 1950 and the other 54 . I think that they are real cool digs. ;)
