This morning, I finished up MD the front lawn of the local high school. Found a lot of clad and my first ring. Rang up a 79 on my AT Pro so figured I had another Lincoln. Dug down about 2 inches and found this. I believe the stone is a small diamond, not sure of the metallurgy. Problem is the back has been crunched down like it got stepped on. Any ideas on how to make it round besides taking it to a jeweler?

First ring is always the best.

Congrats! Try a socket handle to round it out.

Look up "annealing" on the net. You should be able to straighten it a lot this way. Nice find.

Congratulations on your first - and many more! :occasion14:

Mike, Congrats on your first ring, it's a beauty! Here's to many more...

Clean it first! Then drop it on a tapered mandrel and tap it with a hammer. It will get round again. Heres to many more!

Great first ring. Keep on hunting, there's so much to be discovered!!!
