Hey folks,
I haven't really done a whole lot of detecting the past couple months. My 87-year old mother who has lived with me for the last two years passed away in mid-April and I just haven't really had much heart in detecting. Add to this the fact that my area is pretty dry where it concerns silver coins. So, today I headed up to the old school (built in 1883) where I had found my last silver coin, a Standing Liberty half dollar, and was getting skunked until I hit the front of the school. I thought I was gonna dig another penny when this 1895-S barber dime popped out. I've found quite a few silver coins in my years of detecting but all have been post-1900. So this actually marks my first 1800s silver coin...I guess I'm getting closer to my seated dime goal!
HH,
Ray
