That's a nice hit coin wise JoeB.

How exciting is that? So fun to be able to share the finds. Keeps the motivation going :)

Very Nice!...those dont come easy my freind

Thanks! The last thing on my mind was finding silver, had been finding lot's of clad there. HH digging!

Thanks Dale fan, I'd say 4" down. I use a Bounty hunter pioneer 505.

Nice find.

Since it looks pretty tarnished, you may want to try cleaning it up with electrolysis. I haven't done that yet, but there are a lot of good videos on how to do it. Another way to clean silver corrosion slowly is to wrap it in aluminum foil with a pinch of salt and then submerge it in some water that you boiled and let it sit for a while.

Anyways great find, I haven't got a standing liberty yet.

Pete

I used electrolysis on wheats, works great..... The only problem i had was when the wife saw the stainless spoon i used...... lol....

I usually tumble my wheats and they come out pretty good. For black crusty/tarnished silver I have tried the aluminum foil and salt method which is like a very slow motion electrolysis method. Then have tumbled some of the silver after that with pretty good results.

Nice congrats! Silver is always a nice surprise!

WTG!! Still looking for my first silver of any kind! Lol. Good job HH

Congrats! I have yet to find one of those....
