1st time at my 1800's property

Took my new Whites classic 5 to my old prop today. still trying to get the hang of it but heres what dug up. A shotgun shell "UMC co. new clud no 12". A 51d wheat. A real nice button with an eagle and shield says "Philadelphia Horstmann" on back. A alloy token says "Alabama State Department of revenue" on back it says "sales tax token". A broken Corbin lock. A whatzit!. A handful of clad. If anyone has any info on the button or token let me know. -Thanks

Your "whatzit" looks like the hood ornament of an old Pontiac 1930's or 40's. Missing the Pontiac head.

I have found a few of the tax tokens here in north Florida,Fairly common, But I still love to find 'em. Keep looking, sounds like a good spot!

i have found a bunch of those tokens...so has Nana40.....back in the 40's or so you had to buy those tokens to use for sales tax.....you cound pay the tax with cash, tokens only....but you could buy the tokens from the merchant then turn right around and give them back for the tax......stupid if you ask me, but if it wasn't that way we couldnt find the tokens huh?
