Hi all just wanted to share my finds from today and a 1st for me. I am brand new to MD as of this year and have been out poking around a couple times here in central PA and found a couple clad and lots of empty shell casings. Well decided since it was 74 degrees here today I would check out some old foundations in my area and wasn't out for five minutes and got a good signal. Well after going down about 4-5" what do I find but my first Indian head penny !! An 1892 to be exact! Very nice detail under all the mud and clay. Was more than a little pumped to say the least!

Poked around some more and after some minor junk found either an old spur or a badge of some kind along with a metal button. Will try and get some picks up and see if anyone can help me out with the one. Weather looks good mext couple of days and am going to be hittin this spot hard. Oh and I' hunting with a new model BH Quick Silver that I got for christmas and it seems to be doing good as far as I'm concerned.

Good Hunting

Thanks all. went back next day and found another penny but not sure of date was realy bad. Found a button a 62 nickel and some other trash but looks like a good spot. Did the peroxide bath with the IH and now have it going throught the potato treatment and looking good. Still working on the pixs but will get some up soon.
