Has been 3 weeks since I've found some coinage to talk about. I've been out there hunting but only pouching clad (around $16 worth) and a half dozen wheaties in that time. This morning I went out for 2 hours and my only keepers came out of the same hole. 1 harmonica reed a yale key and then a 1914 Nederlandsch Indie 2 1/2 cent coin (close to a half dollar in size). Lots of can shreds, my DFX shows them at 20-22 and most of my nickel finds are 18-22 range. That what happens when they mow the beer and pop cans, makes for more metal detecting targets. The aluminium can business and the litter bugs keep us guessing?

Re: 2 1/2 cent Tuesday

I always run DC phase "ON" with my DFX. Next time you get those close nickel numbers, check the DC
#'s while pinpointing. A nickel with almost always show +43---Higher or neg. #'s are trash.
