Well, took kids to Savannah for a little weekend getaway and decided to stop by a goodwill that was on my route. Pulled up as the door was being unlocked and I strolled on in.

When I first saw this I was like wow that looks sterling but didn’t feel like it when I picked it up since it was a bit heavier than the other sterling I have found.

Flipped it over just to double check and was beyond surprised it was a Gorham sterling bowl.

Also, was surprised it was only marked for 2 dollars since all the goodwills I frequent seem to have a 5 dollar minimum tag on the silver plate.

Nice pick! Thanks for sharing.

Nice find, congrats! :occasion14:

Nice find! Gorham always makes good quality sterling. That piece dates to 1958. Great score!!

Very nice score! I bet that is 15 Troy ounces or more.

Looks thicker than a snicker ;)

It came out to be 15.4 actually, was guessing the same thing.

The RARE big sterling score at a thrift. Nice job! They're still out there. Right time/right place. Key is to go multiple times per week and befriend the clerks. ;)

What it weigh

Awesome score
