went to the bank to get 2 dime boxes because I have only done 6 this year, making it 8 now. I want to do dime more often. Here are my results:

Box1:
SKUNK

Box2: 1988p american silver plated dime ... tricked me! >:(
2006 canadian
1984 canadian
2008 aluminum 1 centimo peru coin smaller than a us dime and aluminum ???
a piece of wood or cardboard that took up space of a dime in one roll...

Altogether, dissapointing 2 boxes... I will keep plugging away at the dimes though, I want to do more of them!

Edit: counted the coins in the boxes, 4,976... $2.40 short. ($1.20 per box avg)... also found 1970 and 1993 panama coins the size of a US dime and also have copper edhe as do dimes in america.

The 1988 might be plated, but not necessarily silver.

yeah its a term I used to exagerate. Most people will know that my meaning of silver plated meant the color not AG. Thanks for pointing that out though :notworthy:

I like how they take up no space and are realy easy to dump unlike half dollars

Grats on the silver, but it cost you quite a bit more than face to get it. I won't buy Brinks dime boxes anymore. It became old really quick when nearly every Brinks dime box was short a few dollars each. To make it worst, they were all skunks for silver for me.

Yeah, no silver these boxes... too make it worse, they were shorted. I guess I will not be doing them too often, but aq box here and a box there won't hurt my pocket too bad... I consider this the cost of my hobby. A little bit of a risk, but im not angrey, just annoyed... Glad to hear that I am not the only one getting shorted on brinks dimes!!! every othrer brinks denomination is fine for me considering I do not count my nickel rolls or penny rolls, a small shortage of a few coins is affordable, lol/
