Yes :tongue3:, another plate!! Ive been digging and digging this yard up. All the items here were found since the 24th, the LC`s are dated 1820 over 1819, and an 1812. finally was able to see the date on the 1812. the 1850s lock is in great condition w/the guard intact and spinning. both plates are in beautiful shape, never did I imagine on finding another, there must be a sword in my yard someplace. found the other little bells and misc. in between everything else. heres some pictures of my house where it all was found also, well! ive got to get back out there,
hope you all enjoy the pictures!!

Well you might as well go back out and get the box plate. Congrads and they look to be in real nice condition.

Holy Crap! Obviously a Vet's house. I agree that there is probably a box plate there somewhere too. Fantastic finds!!!

Damn fine recoveries! Its nice when you can find relics in your own property. Most of my recoveries have been made here on my family farm within walking distance. Congrats!

You know, you might try a title search on your property. You might just be able to put a name on those plates. IDed plates (or any civil war artifact) become much more valuable.

Well its been going in spurts, first a large cent, then a plate, then a large cent, then a plate, etc..etc.. i did a short after dinner hunt for 15 mins and found another large cent, 1828 I think. now tomarrow I can go out and find the box plate. and yes i do plan on doing a title search of the property at the county court house.
I have to run some errands so that ends my day of hunting. but monday is another day. thanks everyone for the great replies.

Man, you are doing great, and that breast plate is in beautiful condition! I would be willing to bet you will also find a cartridge box plate, and that will round out the set. Keep up the hard work, it is paying off.
