It's a British King George II Halfpenny Circa. 1729-1739 and most likely a cast contemporary counterfeit.

Not perfectly round and more a blurred look than wear. It was also a common era for cast Halfpennies. By the time George III became king almost all counterfeits were being struck. Struck worn coins can fool you into thinking cast, and that is possible here, but anyone who knows these would likely think cast counterfeit.

LC is a Sheldon-184.....very common.

A couple nice ones there from what sounds like a nice site. Gotta love it when your coppers emerge from the ground with detail. Congrats to your friend. :thumbsup:
