Had Thursday & Friday off from work. Thursday decided to go back to my old virgin site where I got my cobb years ago. I gridded the heck out of this place with my 6x10 D Coil and was rewarded with 2 more coppers. One is a CT Copper, I believe it was a 1787. The other I believe was a KG III, as I think I see a right facing bust. What do you guys think? Also got a pc of a shoe buckle. I'll have to go back thru my finds from this site as I know I've pulled other pcs, so hopefully I have more to this one.

Friday saw me at a site that I found in the summer. This place was pounded hard by past tectorists but I was able to nab 2 flat buttons, a pewter folding knife as well as what appears to be a pc of etched metal artwork.

HH!
Roger

That's a great day. Hope you can piece together that buckle.

Great hunt! The coppers and the knife are awesome. I was thinking 'I bet the CT cleans up nice'.... Then scrolled farther down and saw that it sure did clean up! The knife is my favorite... haven't see one with that pewter/tombac sort of handle... Looks really old.

Nice recoveries, the CT copper looks like it's almost holed. Liking the knife handle as well.

congrats! It's possible that worn one is a William III copper. Check those out.

Good job on the state copper.

Thanks Guys!

That's what i think too!

Like the CT.. a state copper is something IH and I haven't seen in a while... and of course I only said that to bring us good luck. :)

Interesting use of pewter on that old handle ;) the CT copper always makes a good hunt .......... :icon_scratch: Magnificent !

Damn you guys are AWESOME, didn't expect that!

Sorry no, I meant the William III Id. I expect you've dug just about everything IP :occasion14:

Gotcha.

Still plenty on my list to find! I love never knowing what the keepers will be as it keeps it interesting, but I do have a list of specific items or items in general I would like to find. Blacksmith token was on the general list and I sure did not see it coming yesterday. Even when cleaning up the coins and Blacksmith ID crossing my mind, I sort of dismissed it because I expected to open the book and see it somewhere else, and be a common coin.... but every once in a while things work out.
