Well i went back to a couple pounded sites and all around the cellar holes were real quiet.decided to wander way back trampling through briars and stepping over down rotted trees for 8 hours I worked these 2 sites and not alot of targets left.but I managed 2 worn crusty coppers.not even a hint of what they once were oh well....that's how it goes when your hunting these colonial sites.a piece of broken shoe buckle ,a lone button and a portion of escuctcheon plate made the tear drop in todays hunt total finds picture.the highlight of my hunt has to be the unbroken bottle i saw glimmering in the sun :icon_sunny: under some leaves by a rock wall.
12 1/2 Coppers on the new year so,I can't complain.just really stinks when ya don't know what they were :(

Yep, crusty coppers, we early coin and relic hunters know the feeling - first the high of a coin, and then the low of crustiness realization. But better than going blank!

Hey Dave,

I sent your letter out at least a week ago, I'm surprised you haven't seen it yet? :icon_scratch:
If you don't see it by the end of next week let me know and I'll mail you out the payment again. :-\

Hey, I just got my latest copy of Western Eastern Treasures and saw the artical on the evaluation

You still had a good hunt Dave and it rained here in middle Tennessee all day and is still raining. The lost CSA camp that tennessee digger, his wife, Dman, and I hoped to find is still lost I must report due to a rain out.
Nice finds and you are on track for 120 Coppers this year. Can you live with that? HH, Quindy.
