Once again the PICNIC GROVE doesn't let me down.
Whats great about it is it's only a matter of a few minutes drive from the house.
3.5 acres of grove.
Yesterday was ok but no silver at a bunch of tear downs.
BUT
Today I went to the Picnic Grove for a couple hours.
I got $ 4.62 in change ( RECORD FOR MODERN COINAGE THERE )
A 1954D dime and a 1944 Merc plus a Sterling Silver with gold pendent
4 wheats 1913 1923 1936 & 1944
Both days a lot of trash too

9 Silver coins for the year

Nice finds,

A few yrs back I came across a large hidden grove. It had virtually no silver. But the place had hundreds I mean hundreds of indian heads vnickles wheaties etc. It took a long time to clear it out. Some days after 3 or 4 hrs there I'd have 10 indian heads. Plus other stuff.

Found some rare dates there also. Them groves are and can be some great places to hunt. It took awhile to realize it had treasure. Alot of trash was present. We started clearing it and old coins were coming up left and right.

Wow! Wish we had something like that within a few minutes drive of us!

Isn't it great to have a spot that good, that close to the house! 8) You're very fortunate!
