Yesterday, I went out to look for new sites in the forest. I usually detect with my Deus 2 wide open, Sens-99, Disc.-6.4, Rec. speed 0. While wandering through the forest some very large, fully loaded, C-130 transport planes flew overhead. I heard so much noise in my headphones. As I was looking up while the aircraft flew away the sound continued in my headphones. That sound was the sound of iron in a virgin site. That's the first time that I ever found a site while looking at the sky! I call it Theo-3.
The ground was mostly rock and clay so the coins didn't come out well. It didn't help that some one drilled holes in the half cents. I can't identify the silver bar thingy. Does any one here know what it might be?

Great finds cannonball! The silver piece is quite...weird. Not sure what it could be. Well done on those LC's.

Good work there Cannonball! I am jealous of the Half Cents. The first copper I ever found was a half cent many years ago. 150+ coppers later, still only the one Half Cent. I run my D2 the same way when I am a reconnaissance mission. That bar thing is interesting. I hope someone IDs it.
