Needed a 2nd good used 4WD vehicle for MD'ing, mountain trail, camping, general desert back country driving and found this: 1997 GMC Jimmy SLT--loaded w/full power, air, dvd player, sunroof, leather interior etc--$1200. It was buyers market day.

140,000 miles all highway miles--used as heavy load escort vehicle
no oil leaks, trany or any--v6 runs great, tires have about 20,000 left on them.

that's a nice ride for THing, great mileage, room to spare, comfortable and totally lockable
