I got rained out so I decided to head back to the flood control site. Half hour into it I scored on the first of 2 buttons. The other came shortly after. The first was another brass with hoop intact. Its my first with a decorated front. The second was a small tombac about the size of a dime. After returning home I decide to give my yard another try and I quickly dug this cool little token/ medallion with a four leaf clover on back along with the words "Good Luck". An old rusty dog choke chain complete with rabies vaccination tag at 5" was quick to follow. I was about to pack it up four the day when another hit revealed this silver cross. It wasn't till I cleaned it up a bit that I realized it was the cross my daughter lost a handful of years ago while helping my wife in the garden. Needless to say they were pretty excited about it. So how was your day

I can remember when I was a kid, they had booth at Idlewild Park where you could make those star in a circle good luck pieces and write whatever you wanted on them.

Your right Steve, those buttons are similar but until I get it cleaned up its too hard to tell for sure. I have them soaking in mineral oil. As for the token, you may be on to something because the words don't make sense to me and coincidently the lady that used to live here was named Virginia.

Thanks...I don't think there is writing on the front. I can however make out the word colour on the back. I'm gonna leave them soak in mineral oil for a while in hopes of cleaning up the detail a bit. Can't wait to get an ATpro! I might be able to pick up some coins that I may be missing with the bounty hunter.

I sold my at pro and got a e trac. Wish i wouldnt of now. Found flat buttons smaller than a dime a good 8 inches down with the atpro. And for your button... It probably says standard colour, orange colour , something of that nature. Just a common backmark that stated the quality of the button.
