2 Mystery items

would anyone have any idea as to what these items might be? They were found in the cellar of an 18th very early 19th century cellar hole.they appear to be copper and have no identification marks and threads on inside of the top.

Is it possible that they were part of a brass lamp, and the zinc leached out leaving the coppery look? I learned about the leaching on Treasurenet. :wink:

They appear almost identical to a fill plug collar on a glass bodied lamp I own.
