I only get to visit the east coast once a year generally. This visit I really only got in one good hunt in Southern NH at a permission that is currently for sale so it might be my last hunt there.

The phoenix buttons have an interesting history. I couldn't believe it when I was looking at my buttons later and I noticed the cuff button had the same phrase on it. They weren't near each other.

Half Penny (1734?):

I'd say you made the most of your trip back east. Sweet KGII and the Phoenix buttons very nice. I've never seen one like ball button type.

Apparently someone had previously found one exactly like it in the same place. I think they are cuff buttons. The phoenix picture had almost completely worn off. The words are along the side and kind of tough to see. Didn't make the match until later on when I happened to see the words when cleaning.

Congratualtions on the old copper and very interesting phoenix button! :occasion14:
