2 ring day doubles my ring collection. I think I struck diamonds as well.

Hey guys - just thought I would share pictures of possibly the most expensive find I will ever get... if it ends up being real. Two gold rings about 15 ft apart from each other. Rang up as nickle/pull tab which I usually discriminate out... now I will probably go "all metal" for a while!

These two rings double my ring collection to 4. Got any ideas where I can have these appraised at?

Wow, Those look really nice! Get the stones tested. What karat gold were they stamped at (unless they were too old for standard stampings). Higher Karat may suggest the diamonds are real. If they are only 10k, I'd say likely not real stones.

I never should have left to check the laundry....

Dude I was soo freaked to see you pull those out. Wifey and kid looked at the pic I got. Just ask any female, they have a sense for the real thing. If I had pulled those up, no wait, never mind, not like me to....

Hit a jewelery shop, no pawn shops. Most good shops are happy to appraise them for you.

Next time out this way, you're buying lunch at Goodfellas, is that what you said?

I updated the last picture to show the karats.

I'm sorry, but I have to disgree about 10 karat gold and diamonds, I have several rings that are 10 karat, and the diamonds are real. Diamonds can even be set in silver, as some people don't like gold. Those rings are so gorgeous, especially the one with the marque cut diamonds. WTG, you did good, beautiful finds. Someone is crying over losing those!!!!! Red

Congrats on the rings!!

Look forward to an update when you find out what you got

I found a jeweler here in the loop that does appraising... they said they will do an acid test on the diamonds to see if they are real... acid test sounds damaging though.

I think the acid test is on the gold to determine it's value. The thermal conductivity test is on the stones to see if they're diamonds or Moissanite or some other substitute.

Your right Tim. Diamonds are tough, hit plenty of them with a hammer a time or two.

Holy cow!! I vote banner, TWO gold and diamond rings within 15 feet in one hunt?? Unreal!! Great scores!!

BTW, as someone else pointed out, many diamond rings are on 10K, found one myself once.

Again, super congrats, and don't forget to dig those low signals!
