I found an old homestead on a plat map from 1880, the house itself is gone.
The hunt was on!
It took about an hour to find the house but I don’t think it has been hunted.
There are a lot of targets in the ground but also some heavy frost in places.
I did find a 1 Gold ring, 1 Copper ring, 1 Indian Penny 1889, a Watch Fob or it might be a dog tag from 1917 marked Greenwood Township and a Gold Plated Brooch.
The Gold ring I found by the, (you guessed it) the largest tree on the place, a White Pine.
The acid from that tree Destroyed that ring. Another curiosity is both of the rings showed up on the screen of my Explorer as Gold Rings?
Looks like it will be a good place to hunt when the snow and frost are gone.

Nice finds :headbang:, i love the indian. Still wanting to find one :BangHead:.
Thought i had my first today, but turned out to be a 1916 wheatie. 2nd 1916 i have found on the same lot.
I have found lots of 40's wheats, tons of clad, and one 43s jefferson at this lot.
Cant find the silver at this location, except for the 40%er. Which are nice, but almost feel guilty counting them as a silver.
Guess i gota keep pounding it.
life is a garden, dig it.

Thank You
I can’t say I have found any Silver in a while, but I have found 2 Indians In the last 2 weeks. The frost has set in hard now so that will put a stop to hunting for now.
The 43 Jefferson is 35 % Silver, They are a good find.
If you are getting that many Wheat Penny’s there has got to be some Silver there also.
I am not sure about the soil in Mississippi, in Michigan pennies tend to corrode and the sand tends to stick to them, it the sinking down.
Silver is almost always clean and tends to sink faster.
Simple Friction.
You have a Very Good machine, from what I have heard they will pick up deep coins.
Keep Chasing that Coil, You will find them.
Kevin

Here you go, I will post these for all of the Experts here.
I can not rely on the man who does it for a Living.
Let me know when you have them all sorted out.
Thanks
Kevin
