Dad & I did a couple of hours on the Field of 500, & only got 4 Roman Coins. (picture 1)

Today Land-Mag & I went to the Moated Manor Site, but it had been disced up & was tough detecting. After 1 hr 20 minutes we gave up because all I had was a pair of glasses & Land-Mag an 1806/07 Halfpenny. In the last ten minutes as I circled around waiting for Land-Mag I got a Hammered Groat of a King I need.:headbang:

Edward IV circa 1470 - nice largie!

No, over here, it is the most commonly found Georgian coin. If it were in really good condition, it would be an OK find. At the end of the day, he did not blank. (Which I nearly did)

Nice one.
I like the "portraits" on that era of coin. Leaning towards cartoonish

Yes, you went from Celtic Coins with not many portraits, & they were amatuer, Roman which were so realistic you could use it to identify the real man, to Saxon which were no better than Celtic & then Medieval which look like a 5 year kid did it.
