Hey everybody, here are some of my finds that I have found in my yard (built in the 1880's) over the last two years. It is a big Victorian house with a big yard that was used as a Bed and Breakfast for many years before we bought it. The previous owners were shocked to hear that I had found any coins in the yard because they said it had been detected so many times in the past. :laughing7: I have found 7 silver coins so far (SLQ, 2 seated dimes, barber dime, 2 mercs, and a rosie) 3 indians, a buff, and a V nickel, plus some wheats. Also pictured are 3 military related buttons, 2 rings, 2 skeleton keys, and a bunch of other cool relics. I'm not done yet, just have more nails to clear I guess first. Thanks for looking all, hope this winter flies by. I'm leaving for Guatemala in a couple of days to go build a church in a small village, so please remember me and my family in your prayers. I'll be leaving my wife behind with a bunch of kids for about 2 weeks and she will need some prayers. Much love to you all!, Griff

WOW :headbang: - Outstanding yard digs ya got there Griff!! Congrats on some sweet old coins - especially the Seated Dimes. Love the dog tag, buttons, rings and cool assortment of relics too. What are the 2 objects left of the pocket knives? I have found those before but never knew what they were. Good luck pulling the rest of the nails and pulling some more keepers!

Nice finds griff, gotta be nice to just step out your door and swing rather than travel although that is fun too. Gotta be more down there; maybe this years frozen ground will heave up a few more treasures. Good luck. I like the Griffons and the old dog license. The old barrel key looks to have some type of triangle attached to it; is it just a piece of metal or perhaps has some writing on it? Thanks for sharing!

thanks! yeah the key tag has a number on it 85 I think. Also, the dog tag is actually 2 dog tags fused together. 1900 on one side 1904 on the other.

thanks bro! I think they are old razor blades. One of the ones I found here says Schick on it, and says 8 blades on one side. I've found lots of them over the years, mostly rusted out becuase they are aluminum.

Lovely! What are the two lion decorative things? Glad you sniffed out all that silver. :icon_thumleft: Love the old dog tags. Good luck on any future hunts and safe journeys on your mission trip.

Are the rings gold and silver? I like the 1900 dog tag the best! Super digs. Praying for your family and you.

Prayers for you and your fam, have a safe trip J - and congrats on some sweet finds from your yard, if I hunt mine I find aluminum siding pieces I'm afraid. Awesome coins too amazing the quantity and quality!

Seems you were really blessed by finding nearly two of everything you have; 2 griffins, 2 rings, 2 jack knives, 2 spoons, 2 mercs, 2 seated dimes just to name a few. Maybe you will find more silver this Spring when things get pushed to the top. :happysmiley:

Awesome finds. I have probably found that many nails in my yard, but none of the other stuff. We just bought another cabin that was built in the 40's, it's only about 200 yards away. Looking forward to seeing what might be over there.

DAMN!!! Jackpot!!! Looks like persistence paid off over those 2 years. I don't know what looks best, I'm thinking maybe the old skeleton keys. I gueeeesss the rings are impressive hahahaha jk. Nice Job keep it up!!!!

Awsome finds!
