Neat Find!
My first guess is that its an inventory tag..., for a bundle of lumber...?
My second guess is the answer = ....but, I'm real bad at math....! :laughing7:

May be a produce picker's token - to keep track of how much/many they have picked.

20 Cents Divided by 7-----That comes to 2.8571428 cents which in today's market will get you a brand new lolly pop. Or 20c for machine #7

Update:
I was originally thinking along the lines of a "Baker's half-dozen".
You pay 20-cents for six, but they throw in an extra one. ??

The hole in it makes me think it was a tag for something.
(Toe tag at veterinary med school laboratory? "Just pay for your practice cadaver at the cashier." :laughing7:)

I'm wondering if it could have been a tag/label for box "7". Whatever went in it, cost 20c.
When restocking, they would just tell the helper "These go in #7."

More likely a tag that goes on a crate/bin for Size 7 or Item 7?
