In this case he means the clad copper-nickel variety. So basically you payed 2 dollars for every 1 dollar. I would cancel. His auction is very misleading.

You can try to get out of it, but bidding on eBay is a contractual agreement. It is your responsibility to ask questions before you bid. His auction is somewhat misleading to people who don't know what the C word is (CLAD). He does say in the auction "not silver." Good luck with that one.

clad is CuNi, not silver. got to read the page before you purchase, if it seems too good to be true, it is.

you been hoodwinked -- expensive lesson you got there - - $50 plus shipping and handling for $10 in plain jane nickle and copper "clad" IKE dollar coins, --since its clearly spelled out in the ad that they are * not silver and that their in circulated condition - thats going to be very tough one to "back out on"

It's people like the eBay seller that give coin collectors a bad name. Misleading title, misleading picture, and a private listing to top it all off. Sadly, eBay is filled with people like the seller who try to scam their way to a sale. While it isn't technically fraudulent (he says later on they are silver) he does have a very misleading title.

Cancel the transaction. The seller should NOT have "Silver Coin" in the title, even if the description (which you SHOULD have read) clearly says not silver. End of story.

Im sorry, but I don't see how the seller was being so deceitful. Sure his title may have been a bit misleading, but the description clearly says their not silver. Its not the sellers job to make sure people read. Im not saying this seller is operating in any fashion I condone, but if you buy things just of the titlenwithout reading anything else, you deserve it.

I really don't see anything deceiving it says clad 3 times in the description along with *not silver* in parenthesis. Would you buy 10 golden dollars for $50 and complain they are not real gold?

a good # of sellers of ikes do that with their titles. they put silver dollar ikes but explain silver dollar is just the name and no silver in it. it definitely is a misleading title but explained in the description. good luck with it. i can totally understand. just look at completed listings and youll see a lot of them
