So I bought 200$ a few days ago and ended up with only a single 1967. Today I bought $200 more and I found 4x1964's and a 1941 Walking Liberty! Very fun I'm hooked for a while.. The walking liberty was in the same roll as a 1964. And one of the 1964s was on the edge of a roll.

I do have a question though since I literally just started CRH two days ago. Do any of the 64's seem worthy to get rated? They're all in surprisingly decent condition. And what's the general consensus on selling for silver melt or holding for longer term? 40$ for silver seems like a lot but at the same time I really like holding onto coins. BUT I wouldn't be opposed to cashing in if the price was relatively great.

I usually CRH on a relatively low budget myself as I a said. This week I have only searched less than $100 fv in halves (probably closer to $60 fv) and I have scored nearly $100 in silver (1 '64, 1 BF, & 11 40%er's) so I have had well over 100% return for the week on that money. But this has been a very good week for me - certainly % wise. I also scored a couple of silver nic's but that involved using a little more search money.

Anyway,, I don't know what my total figures are for the year but one of the reasons I haven't increased my CRHing budget for halves is because I wasn't sure if increasing my search money would give me as good a return on my money % wise even though I know I would have more total finds. Like Ive said I tend to have pretty good luck just searching numerous banks where I live without having to search too many rolls (usually). Usually when I do find $100 -$300 or so in cwr's I usually don't have much luck (probably someone else's dump). In fact I'm planning on going back to a bank tomorrow that I only bought a couple of rolls at last week because I was short of cash but the teller said she had about $260 more - but I have a feeling I'm going to get skunked with someone else's dump.

But I think I might start increasing my CRHing budget and try ordering some bags (my bank only gets them in $500 Brinks bags) and start buying dime boxes and increase my nickel volume as well. I don't think my return on my money will increase % wise but I should obviously have more total finds.

Even though I really like CRHing I tend to look at it as what is the best use of my money and how can I use it to get the best returns. Right now most precious metal stocks are a steal because most have way underperformed pm prices but I think that will be changing soon. So allocating more money to CRHing is less money I could be investing elsewhere like that. But I suppose even allocating 1 or 2 grand for CRHing wouldn't be too much and I suppose the quicker you search and dump the better you can make use of your money.

Anyway it just seems every CRHer just needs to figure out which way and method works best for them.

HH everyone!

Btw. I may be wrong and over speculating on this but unless I got some really nice scores on some $500 bags or boxes I believe I could probably have better total finds using $200 and searching cwr's and loose coins at the many different banks like I do where I live than by just searching $500 bags or boxes. Meaning I believe I'm probably more than twice as likely to find them the way I do then by ording them. That's one of the reasons I haven't been ordering halves but like I said I'm going to start ordering some so I should find out if my assumption is true - for me anyway.
