$200 in quarters $200 in dimes 2 nice finds

I picked up $200 each in cwr dimes and quarters Dimes produced an almost mint bueatiful 1942 Mercury! This thing is purty! The quarters gave me a 1976 S circulated proof ! Question Is this coin a 40% or a 90%? Im at work and dont have my Redbook with me. The halves were plentiful but PU, Stinko, Crappo, El Skunko any way you get the idea

If it is silver it is a 40%er. However, I think they made both clad and silver proofs that year.

1976 S quarter, half and ike dollar was made in three varieties
1) Proof copper nickel clad
2) Uncirculated 40% silver clad
3) Proof 40% silver clad

No 90% silver coins were made by US mint in 1976!
The coin's edge should tell you if it is silver.
If the coin is silver but worn it can be hard to tell the difference between uncirculated silver and proof silver. The value is the same either way (melt value)

Im pretty sure its silver as the edge jumped right out at me
