well, I added a pic, my camera skills being what they are. The dime is next to another 2001 with all the clad on it. Any body got any idea as to how this happened?
 

Yep, missing clad on one side is worth some money. There is also suppose to be some with no clad on both sides. Those are extremely rare.
 

It is called a "lamination defect". I found a susan b. anthony dollar a couple years ago in change from the post office stamp machine. A old coin book listed it in the back at about $60.
