I landed my fourth knife of the year today so, I figured I would do a group shot of my 2010 knife collection. 2 of the knives are in rough shape .
I dug a nice New York Knife Company knife today that dates somewhere between 1856 and 1931. I am hoping someone out there may be a knife expert and know the date.
The butter knife comes from a Colonial Church yard that I had permission to hunt. This was over 10 inches deep and was a crazy signal because of the silver thimble that was in the same hole with it. Its very decorative but, no clue on how old it really is. Its not silver and it has almost a red tone to it like when nickels are in the ground.
The other two are to rough to know anything about. One was dug on a river bank and the other an old farm.
Happy hunting!
