Nothing says it was an error. I tcould be damage done after it left the mint. That would make it hard to sell on ebay.

Just a plating issue. But, who knows, some rube might still buy it. :laughing9:

Just like the rest of our current currency..Its Junk..I found a few that where similar to this on the Shield Pennies..I kept one ...Hopefully it doesnt rot away in the 2x2 holder :laughing7:

Isn't that what happens to all clad pennies?

Yeah, currency is made from lesser materials now. The Deputy Secretary of Treasury was in my office the other day and asked him about spending more than a penny to make a penny and he said they are looking at even cheaper materials. What do you think is next? Stainless? Aluminum? Paper, maybe?

I think it means our economy is in trouble (yes, that's pretty obvious).

Hahaha..Paper Cents?..Why not..thats how they started screwing people over on silver with there "Silver Certificates"..i would love to take the few of them i have to redeem for a silver dollar coin anyday

I would love stainless coinage. I doubt it would be cheap enough to make a penny out of stainless though.
