I also keep a journal of my hunts and things found.

Journals are an excellent way to keep track of things and make it easy to show things to someone who might not ever see your displays at home. I find a lot of people will browse the pics and info in the book, that kind of get glazed eyes when confronted with the artifacts out on shelves and drawers.
They also really help, when your memory gets like mine...

You know, it's so cold here, I did the exact same thing! I have a large container with baggies full of finds I like, but are not special.. I found a lot of things I should post on "What is it?" other things I have found out what they are from TNet over time, and some things more interesting now than when I found them, as I've learned more, so it was actually fun. Thanks for the kind words I certainly don't record every find like that! Too much work! and not needed. But I do have everything separated as to where they were found. When the ground thaws HH!
