My Bottle collection

I would like to share some of the things that I have collected over the years. First I will start with my collection of bottles and other glass. I have only been collecting bottles for about ten years on and off. I have 3 primary spots with 1 being my main source. While I don't have anything extraordinary I have items that I find interesting enough and enjoy learning about the history of what I find. I hope you enjoy!

I wanted to add that everything in my curiosity cabinet was found by me with the exception of 2 bottles that I purchased and 2 projects my wife and I made at the Corning Museum of Glass.
I will take more pics of individuals bottles if there is interest.

There is a YouTuber you might already know about. His channel is Below the Plains. He digs old outhouse holes, and comes up with some really old glassware. I'm amazed just how valuable some of the glass is worth. To each his own to be sure!

I have not heard of this before, I will be sure to check it out. I have heard about people digging out old outhouse. But have never done myself. May main spot was an old dump that was filled over. It is located next to a body of water. The bottles and other goodies get washed out periodically when the water levels are high. Another spot it behind a foundation next to a road. There is a small creek that runs along side. Things erode out of the banks there as well. Then there are 2 pots not to far from each other where people dumped stuff into a ravine and bottles are just laying everywhere but everything is picked over and/ or broken now.

Not only all sorts of great bottles but you have them is nice display cases and everything! Well done, I bet your house is an absolute trip to explore and check out all the neat stuff.

Thank-you! I actually bought that display for fossils but realized my bottles needed a home. I have a smaller cabinet for the fossils and shells but I have so many that alot of that is in boxes and I may sell off the rest. I have too much and need to downsize. I have to make room for future finds!

Thanks, I don't know if my wife would agree with you. Lol, she would be happy to see some of it go. She does appreciate some of my finds, but doesn't understand the obsession. Back when I first got started my house had mineral specimens in every nook and cranny. She hated it.
