2017 was a good year - Nova’s, Hammered silver, buckles, plates, and lots of ...
Two-Thousand and Seventeen was a great year. It’s 11 degrees outside and snowing, so I figure what better time to make a recap post?
Here’s some of my favorites
Beautiful Spanish facsimile cufflink dated 1744

Beauty 1783 Nova Constelatio C-3C

17th. Century asymmetrical buckle

1820’s Militia belt plate (Post 1812)

1/2 Reale Cob 1666-1700

Roundball, buck, and flint spill

A killer hunting trip with Ahab and OutdoorAdv

KILLER COLONIAL PEWTER PLATE!!!
My favorite find of the trip!

Nice capped bust 1/2d

Crow Shark teeth - Cretaceous period (ca. 100 million years ago)

A coin spill still in the wallet pouch!

1796 Liberty Cap

I thought I had a USA button hahahahahaaaa!

17th century NA trade point

A second Nova Constelatio - 1785

My Spanish silver for the year (minus two I gave away). A quick note. In the center is a Ferdinand Vii counterfeit and it’s authentic counterpart. Very cool!

Some copper shots

There’s more but I’m having difficulty with my Icloud downloads at the moment. I dug a lot of coppers but my photos aren’t downloading (the explaining the black borders from screenshots). So there it is, another year in the books.
The best part was the time I got to spend with friends: Carolina Tom and Smittyman, The (one and only) Basstards of Bramble (Bartek and EastCoastHunter), Locodigger, Treblehunter, Steve2 (who thinks Charlie’s truck is a pile of crap), BlakBart, OutdoorAdv, and Ahab8.
Cheers to 2018 and good hunts.
