Bounty Hunter
20's era Hubcap
This from a park which was 2 blocks from old Rte 66 in SW Missouri. The park's pretty picked over, for sure, but this year I've pulled a 34 Buff, 16 Wheat, two Sac dollars and this Dodge Bros wooden-wheel hubcap. I almost left it, thinking can trash, but the "DB" print was so elaborate thought I'd take it home and google it. Thinking radiator cap....Also, I was surprised that aluminum was used for this purpose in the 20's, thought it was a rarer, more expensive metal then. Not rare, certainly, but after all the detecting thats taken place here, it was a surprise to find this partially sticking out of the ground next to the swing sets.
